Initiation is an African rite of passage activity by which yong boys in the ageset bracket of 10 to 15 pass from boyhood to adulthood. In this case, boys are put together in a boot camp style and taken through a cultural curriculum and physical drill before being released into adulthood after a month. Wirr academy does more than that by bringing children together from various South Sudanese communities to accompany the wrestling champions across the EAC region.
