This festival comprises cultural dances and singing from – as the word shows – both the Nilotic communities along the Nile and their Luo cousins in East Africa. This cultural caravan blends the South Sudanese refugees communities with their host communities in East Africa. The main function of the festival is to entertain the wrestling spectators in a succession of interludes in between the wrestling episodes. So, it is not a standalone event but an interwoven series of performance to balance the wrestling rhythms in the stadium.
